About This Course

In today’s competitive business environment, organisations need more than isolated efficiency initiatives to achieve sustainable growth. They need a management system and organisational culture that continuously identifies problems, eliminates waste, develops people and improves the way work is performed.
This one-day training introduces participants to the principles behind the Toyota Production System (TPS), Lean Management and Kaizen thinking, with a particular focus on how these principles can be translated into everyday management practice.
The training explores how organisations can build a culture where continuous improvement is not treated as a separate project, but becomes part of the way people manage, solve problems and deliver results.
Participants will examine the Toyota Way Management System, Hoshin Kanri (Strategy Deployment), structured problem solving, the development of front-line leaders, and the importance of achieving “First Time Right“ while creating smooth and efficient FLOW.
The session combines management concepts with practical examples and discussions, enabling participants to understand not only what Lean tools are, but more importantly how Lean thinking can become part of the organisational management system and culture.

2. Toyota Way Management System

3. Strategy Deployment – Hoshin Kanri

  • Connect continuous improvement with business performance and sustainable competitiveness.
  • Identify practical actions that can be applied within their own organization following the training.

The training is particularly suitable for professionals responsible for people, processes, performance, and continuous improvement, including:

  • Middle Managers and Department Heads
  • Front-Line Managers and Supervisors
  • Quality Managers and Quality Professionals
  • Process Improvement and Lean Managers
  • HR and Learning & Development professionals involved in leadership development

The training is relevant both for organizations that are starting their Lean journey and for companies that already use Lean tools but want to strengthen their management system, leadership capabilities, and continuous improvement culture.

The value of the training extends beyond individual learning. Participants will gain a stronger understanding of how to connect:

Strategy → Leadership → People → Problem Solving → Process Improvement → Results

Organizations can use the training as a starting point for strengthening their continuous improvement approach, developing front-line leadership capabilities, and creating a more systematic link between strategic objectives and daily operational performance.

Ultimately, the objective is to move from “improvement as an initiative” to “improvement as the way we manage.”
